What is a adapation library error?
How do you fix it?
Do you have documentation that explains all the errors, and how to resolve them?

Adaptation library errors occur when dreamsubmitter cannot locate confirmation text on the confirmation page. If you goto the configuration tab, on the bottom left there is the adaptation library, this is a library of text strings dreamsubmitter searches for to aknowledge a confirmed submission.
You are getting an adapation library error because no text in the adaptation library is being matched to text on the confirmation page of the site, so either, you are getting some sort of error, or you need to add a text string from that particular websites confirmation page to the adapation library.
To test this, try submitting the site manually and seeing if you see the proper confirmation page, or if you are indeed getting some sort of error.

I have setup all my galleries and I have submitted successfully in manual mode. However when I do Hyper Submit I get a lot of errors, red dots. Most of the errors say error: Adaption library. Can you help and maybe point me to your most appropriate video for training?
Hi there. Adaptation library is located in the advanced mode ( tabbed version ) in the "Configuration" tab at the bottom middle area of the window. The submissions go through okay, but still show up as red. This is easily fixed by right clicking in the hyper tab and selecting "activate error review slideshow". This should split the screen into two areas. Click on the red listed item. Its result page should come up to the right. Copy unique text from the result page and copy and paste into the Configuration tab area under "adaptation Library". next time hyper submit goes through it will check the Adaptation library list for these phrases and if it catches them it will turn the ball green. Every <---text link---> will be replaced with a recip on a new generated html file from your gallery template. It seems like recips are ending up on wrong pages or not at all, in the database the recips looks ok for the site. For example www.blingvids.com submitted with file "upd-gr5022007.html" and there are no html file with the recips for www.blingvids.com, this is with 2.9 20/02/07 release. Yesterday running 2.0 i got some sites that had recips but in wrong html files. What could be wrong?
I have made changes to the generation code and fixed a crash bug and some generation routines. Please download the latest version and check your gallery template to make sure the <---text link---> is correctly placed in the html template. Then generate. hi, i have a gallery and dont want it to make any, just submit. how do i make it just submit my gallery to all the tgps please.
In the properties tab of the generator just checkmark the "static url override" box and paste in the url of your static url. this will allow ds to just submit that url to all sites without putting any recips on anything, or creating new pages. Scheduled submissions do not start, I have tried several times to schedule submissions in the scheduler and they donīt start at all. Im able to click on them an choose "copy to.. and engage" and they starts and submits correctly. But it wont do it automaticly, i have tried to uncheck and check "scheduler - is active" in config it does not help (it is now checked). What could be wrong?

I have a couple of problems.
First, ds2.9 crashes when generating pages (debug assertion failed file strcore.cpp) I can send you screenshots if needed.
Second, my ds 2.5 doesnt limit recips by group. I tried everything but it just puts random recips. I can get it to work in ds2.9 but not in ds2.5
any idea how to solve this?

Hey, I think this is a more general IE7 issue, but hopefully you can help. All was running great for me through yesterday, no problems with auto submitting, but I just uploaded IE7 last night and this morning, none of my browse to file fields would fill (uploading the thumbs). This happened over different profiles that all worked fine the day before. Im guessing it is a security option or something in IE7 that wont allow DS to select my thumb files, but I cant figure out what. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi there. This is an IE7 issue. This issue has been resolved in the beta version already but is not released as of yet. A few more days and I will upload the beta version update with IE7 fixes. The tgp demo database can be downloaded from the login page on our website. If you have been a client for 3 months or longer, or purchased 3 months in advanced you are eligible for our large databases. These can be obtained by emailing reilly@dreamsubmitter.com. Hope this helps! |

I have downloaded the beta version and after going through the submission wizard am receiving a "invalid cursor state" just when the generation is complete.
Dear Kate, please delete everything from the scheduler tab, everything from the submission calendar tab, and any hyper tab "sub-tabs" [in the main origin window tab]. Then shut down ds, and restart it. Re-open the same database. When a database is open this resets the index count in the database and optimizes the database as well - some times if data is not deleted from these tabs the index numbers can get quite large and exceed memory allocation specifications. They can be reset using this method. Thanks!

Dear user, it is possible. The wizard only uses the info it gets from the generator tab and sub tabs. A good idea would be to save all this information once to the profiles tab and double click the profile. Afterward, the info should be loaded automatically. thanks! |

Hi Bill, the databases will be updated tomorrow Tuesday 9/4/2006, and I will make sure that problem is fixed. Have you tried to download the small databases, deleting all the sites from there, and adding a new one as a temporary get around until tomorrow? Hi Twinkley, i think this is a result of you using a blank database. Please check the database tab and make sure there are sites listed there, if there are not this means you are using one of the empty databases provided in the members section for users wishing to create their own database from scratch. You will want to download the tgp demo or mgp demo database if this is the case, and this should fix your problem. let me know if this helps, and if not please hit me up in icq 9635421. thanks.

I am using DS Beta 2.0. I have completed all the necessary steps to generate, crop and upload galleries and thumbnails to my server, however these are never recognized inside of the submission calendar (it always remains blank). Is there a way I can have DS manually spider the given server directory as to prevent me from having to contantly go through the entire process of gallery generation? The links to my server directories inside of DS are correct.

Ok, I just started using DS thru revsharehosting.com. I was able to auto submit to about 20 sites before it stopped filling out submit forms and I get this error pop up in a box: FORM TAG "gallery_submission[desc]" -FILL RESULT MISMATCH

Hi there,
I have the tgp database downloaded and I have my galleries all generated and ready to go. I am having a problem though when I submit I am receiving form errors. So I went into the configuration tab and fixed the timeout number. So I tried to run the submissions again, but it will do the first 7 or so, and then I start getting the errors again.
Any advice is appreciated!

Hi, I cant seem to get recip links on my gallery pages. I can generate hundreds of gallerys, but none have any recips on them. Is their a common mistake I might be making? I have gone through all the videos, Im sure the answer is there somewhere, but I cant seem to figure it out.

please make sure you have <---text link---> in your template wherever you would like dreamsubmitter to replace with a recip. You MUST check the actual HTML code, as some html editors with change this to a different looking code. If this doesnt work please supply the link to your template.

you can do it so that it asks you if you want to submit by email or cancel, by going to configuration tab and making sure that "submision zone 1 - send email submission automatically without pop up warning" is un checked

when generating thumbs files with the cropper nothing is generated i am writing to a f: usb storage device directory
for some reason generating thumb files to mapped drives like f: on some computers will not work thanks to windows settings however you can write to a local hd directory instead and this will work thank you

I receive this error message when installing the tablet driver for Windows. "16 bit window subsystem; C:windows/system32/Autoexec.NT This system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows Application.
It sounds like you have a program called "WINDUPDATE.EXE" in your computer. It is a program like a virus that some site has put in your computer to make you purchase updated programs, ones that will operate with XPs 32 bit system. What is causes is the deleting of your AUTOEXEC.NT file every time you boot your computer. Without this AUTOEXEC.NT file you cant run old 16 bit programs which were developed for Windows 98 or earlier. You can search in your computer to try and find this WINDUPDATE.EXE file and delete it or you can download the freeadware eliminating program, AD-Aware SE Personal 1.05, that finds and can remove these security threats. You can find it at www.lavasoft.com. Also many articles say the AUTOEXEC.NT file is in your C:windowssystem32 folder but sometimes your computer manufacturer put it in the C:WINNT system folder. It the latter case your C:windows folder wont have a system32 folder. If you install and run this ad-ware program it will find almost every little adware file in your computer and remove them. Unless you get rid of this WINDUPDATE.EXE file it will keep deleting the AUTOEXEC.NT file and you will have to restore it constantly. If you do not find the autoexec.nt file, do a general web search on it. After this you should find autoexec.nt in the c:window
epair file (download the zip file from the web first, so you have a back up), and enter it into a blank space in the c:windowssystem32 file, then you should be led to the download wizard (by loading the cd in the c: drive.)

hello, I am trying to switch from using Chameleon to using Dream
Submitter. I have a few questions. I am trying to submit. When I try
my manual submission the first one is Amandalist. It does not
automatically insert my gallery image url as Chameleon does, did I do
something wrong?
I then went to my next manual, which is freeheaven (that doesnt come
up with Chameleon, so I like that :)) but, it generates an error and
again none of the fields are filled out.
One site that I would like to submit to is Richards Realm. Is that in
your database? If not, how do I add it?
Oh, and is there a way to have a "cleaner" url? For example, Chameleon
will generate a url something like
www.adultzen.com/22/hardcoreadult.html rather than all those numbers
and random looking letters at the end.

Well depends what db you use if you are using the large one then Richards realm is there http://db.richards-realm.com/submit/thumbs.phtml that is the link in the database. for the demo db its http://submit.richards-realm.com/picpost.phtml.
Well depends where are you submitting from submission zone one or hyper submit and also if you are doing a direct site link(preset gallery url) for gallery you need to have the static URL override enabled and the url typed there if you are using ftp way and have bunch of html files outputted then make sure your file output dir is set and also template file dir should be filled and then on the bottom make sure the ftp path box is filled. If this does not help then you can add me to ICQ or email me again and tell me what you exactly did for this part because that is what I can think of now and it can be hard without knowing what exactly was done or how it was set up.
For http://www.freeheaven.com/submit.php you need to go to the submission page index(edit page dialog box)
and shut off the AS area by unclicking the box and make sure that the hyper submit page step count is set to 3 not 2 which is default. Also please note that this site will only fill when in hyper submit.
For those sites you can erase the part after the question mark like if the site says http://www.absolute-grannies.com/cgi-bin/brownie/submit.cgi?fp=omlQGbhgJAsewZffTYkScHyZWRDSAmBK65753IGLYqFHPXiRgQWye you can get rid of the part after ? so the new url would be http://www.absolute-grannies.com/cgi-bin/brownie/submit.cgi? also do not forget to set AS timer to 5 or 10 sec ten is usually the best. To set the As timer you need to either double click on the site in the database and change things like explained above or if you are in submission zone 1 you can just click the D button. Also this problem is fixed in the newer version for the databases which will go up soon.

dear jonah please close down ds if it is running and start a new instance of internet explorer. at the top left menu options go to tools -> internet options -> security and select INTERNET and click on CUSTOM LEVEL. scroll down to MISCELLANEOUS and under DISPLAY MIXED CONTENT select ENABLE and APPLY and close IE. re start ds and try to log in once again. thank you!

sometimes ds will freeze during a hyper submit after using registry mechanic or any registry cleaning software and it seems like its frozen but if i wait for like 20 or 30 seconds it unfreezes and continues to hyper submit how come?
depending how your windows operating system is set up (usually the internal advanced settings of internet explorer caching etc) its possible ds might freeze up and then 20 to 30 seconds later unfreeze and continue on. since ds mastered the harnessing of internet explorer (the fastest browser in the world today) for submission deployment and launches up to any number of threads you desire (20, 50, 100) at the same time, this drains the hard drive operations by saving cache of the web sites to file, and sometimes the software will lose focus but then snap into place. if you encounter this after running a registry cleaner please wait up to a minute for the os to recover and ds will snap back into operations (it actually is running in the background but the graphical user interface is not updated because of the heavy work load). thank you!

when I click generate button ds crashes
please lower the size of your template .html file - we use a CString in our code which is a variable that the template needs to be loaded into and depending how your computer is set up it can only contain a certain amount of characters (I believe up to 32,768) and if the .html template file is over that it will bomb - small coding on my part i need to do to check the size of the file and warn the user! thanks!

...u could always make a copy of your original database then delete urls from it or make changes .. are you copying the database to another computer to use - in which case you would have to make a copy of your registry that dream submitter writes to (email me and I will give you the path to it and tell you how to do it using regedit.exe) but the stuff saved to the registry is not tied really to the database (nothing critical) just saves information of text data in tabs - contact me for more information by email click here thanks!

on one website theres a field form called title....how do i make a field to fill that out?
please click here for a screenshot on how to do this! basically you go to the url in the submission zone 1 tab, click on properties [bottom left of the submission zone 1 tab] after the submission url is loaded and page is displayed. locate the right name for the field, remember it, and edit the site in database tab. then go to description tab and enable one of the description fields by check marking de. key in the name of the field on the form to the left of the description area. thats it!

Im going to a vacation in a few weeks. While on the vacation, I want to keep submitting galleries via DS. So I have
installed DS on my laptop. But it wont work on my laptop. Everytime I try to login, I get the message "This account is
already in use..." or something similar. Can you help ?
please email me at tom@dreamsubmitter.com with your account user id and password - I can reset your account and enable it to log a new mac address from your network card. however, this happens only when DS is not shut down properly from another computer (if program not properly exited by clicking x). our servers still remember the old mac address and recognize your account as still logged in. the answer to this is to log in with your account from the original computer and log out properly by shutting down the program. then log into the account again from the lap top (other computer). if you are still experiencing problems I will have to force and reset your account - but let me know if I need to do that. thank you!

This can also be caused by trying to login to your laptop before logging off your main PC. Dreamsubmitter will only allow a user to login at one station at a time. Thanks! |

tell me is it possible to use 2 kind of preview thumbs one with hardcore action and other with girl face for different sites during submission?
in generator->cropper, there is option for square, portrait, landscape or selected (or all) - however, below that is a drop down option for face, hardcore, softcore (and n/a for ignore). if selected, the cropper will generate only for the selected drop down (face, softcore, hardcore) thumbs. please note: generated face thumbs will have a f at the end of the name and before the period (ie - 140x140f.jpg) . softcore will have a s and hardcore will have a h at the end of the name and before the period. please remember to add this specific size into the thumb sizes by clicking on the thumb size button in the generator->properties tab. remember: if you are adding a specific softcore thumb size add a s at the end of the size (h for hardcore and f for face).

during hyper submit the program freezes or stalls and some times windows pop up saying the program is not responding
dear ***, dream submitter intensively uses the registry of the computer to store information during hyper submission. we have encountered this problem before and have fixed it by running registry mechanic on the affected computer. this fixed the problem and our submissions went through without fail and we increased during submission until 35 threads running concurrently. please let us know if this does not fix the issue.

1.: I had deleted some urls in a database... but on next load they where there again...how to make changes permanent?
2.:Any way to delete all "red" urls from the submission calender also in the database? so that I have only working urls?

Hi there, in this situation i think you may have deleted the url from the submission calendar rather than the actual database. When you wish to delete a site completely you msut goto the database tab to delete it, the submission calendar holds gallery submit information/entries that are created upon generation and link the info inputted with the site and it corresponding gallery including recip. If you delete an entry from here, this will NOT delete the site from the database, it will only delete that entry and therfore when you generate again, the same entry will return to the submission calendar.
As for deleting all red marked entries from your submission calendar, this is not advised, as sometimes a site is marked with a red error ball for the simple fact that the description length has changed, or no categories were matched from the ones you specified.. so if you picked other categories you may find those sites may work in the future. There is also many other ways to limit generation to only sites that will apply, you can do this with the "limit group" button in the recipricals tab of the generator, you can also limit by category when generating. in the wizard, there is a field "c16" with an default 2257 how can I change this? also number "c17" found no way to change something there..

...when changing the base selections for any of the custom fields such as c16 and c17 you will need to go into the submission que sub tab in the generator tab and click the yellow folder beside the coinciding field you wish to edit. Once you have done this you must right click in the window popup and select "add" you can then add a value in. However, once you have added in a value it will have 0 matches for sites, you will then have to edit each site you wish to use this new value on, and add the keyword in for it. So you would double click the site in your database to edit it, then goto the custom fields tab, click the yellow folder beside c16 or whichever you are adding, and then right click and add the corresponding keyword and match it to an existing keyword displayed on the left. after using the wizard and generating the files I see "http://www.yourserver.com/galleries/recips/" instead of my server url for the recips... why?
dear ****, after downloading a database package from our servers and after unzipping the file there should be a readme.txt file in the uncompressed directory. the readme.txt file will have special rules for you to make your database work with ds. initially, the first time you open a downloaded database you need to go to the generator->reciprocals tab and then right click mouse button in the reciprocals list box area - after a pop up menu appears - select the "find and replace text in HTML column" option. when selected, a dialog box will appear. fill in what you need to replace (usually will be "http://www.yourserver.com/galleries/recips/") and key in your own server path where you uploaded the reciprocal data to your servers. thank you!

on my windows xp when ds loads my mouse cursor disappears
dear *********, please download fix from this download link - http://www.dreamsubmitter.com/nocursorfix/ds.zip then copy it to your installation directory - usually c:\program files\dreamsubmitter\ds.exe - over writing the current file there [please note: you will have to unzip the compressed file - just uncompress it into the same installation directory to get the ds.exe executable file out] - thank you!
this fix disables the splash screen before the program loads - unfortunately some xp os versions have not been updated with the most recent updates and our splash screen code colldies with the os (very rare occasions).

fyi: I connected to clients computer using msn remote assistance and tried the following (which failed - there might be another answer if anyone finds it please contact me):
i) uninstalled mouse driver and rebooted computer forcing it to re install new and updated mouse driver
ii) client upgraded windows xp installation
iii) client re installed windows xp completely
iv) installed mouse driver override third party fancy mouse driver / graphics hoping it would restore some setting
v) shuffled some code around and ftpd for client to test by forcing splash screen code to be placed elsewhere in the start up part of the program |

and i got one more question for ya. theres no way to select the sites u want to generate to right? i mean, say i got a db full of diff niches. and i need to do mature only. ideally i would select all the tgps that accept all niches, and then also chose the mature ones. But i dont think u can do that, so im forced to blacklist the sites i wont submit to, generate, annd then unblack-list. Is there any way around that?
FYI: for all the answers below please keep in mind that in generator->submission que you can set sub-categories as nothing and only keep 1 category as a primary if generating to submit for specific categories.

generate for everything and delete from submission calendar the sites you do not want to submit to

at the bottom of the generator tab there is a limit by check box with a drop down to the right. you can limit generation for specific categories this way. please check this screenshot

one way you can limit generation is by reciprocal link groups. in generator->reciprocals tab (at bottom middle screen is limit by group button) and in (top left of program) help->advancedf wizard, when you generate, you can select a text file of groups you want everything generated for.

This tgp right here has a checkbox i just cant get it to check. Ive had similar problems for a few other tgps so if i can get it to work then it will save me a few problems for the others. Where it says "Thubmnail", i want it to chose the 2nd checkbox.. In the form properties i see that the form field is called thumb, so i set that up, and did a live update..but still must have the wrong values in my table cuz i cant get it to click. i have something wrong in the keyword or value field just dont know wghat it is

hey man i was wondering ..sometimes when u fill a form it fills flawlessly yet it still pulls up a /form error. whats up with those. ill just set it to ignore errors but its a bug out
dear ***** you are receiving a /form error because a custom field that is turned on (when you edit a site) does not have any (or wrong) fields defined. to solve: edit the site(x2 click on it) from the database tab, go to custom fields tab, click on any yellow folders you can and see (a dialog window will pop up) and see if there is any data in the right table in the window. if there is info in the table, you must make sure the keywords on the right match a keyword on the left exactly. if there is no info in the table you must hit the live update to add, or add information in manually by right clicking the blank area and clicking add. thank you!

when updating a database (downloading a newer one from the network and using the update command in the database tab) do i need to lock blacklisted tgps so that they dont get replaced or are they already excluded by being blacklisted?
dear *******, black listed items in the database need to be marked as locked (highlight in database tab and select lock) or they will be over written. simply if its not locked it will be over written. thank you!

during submission the browse to file thumbnail upload radio buttons are not being selected properly

I found something that might help. I noticed in your profile, there was a drop down missing that wasnt selected, that could be why the upload files isnt working right.
I have set up a screenshot. Double click your profile in the generator, then drop down "C12" custom field, cause it wasnt selected in your profile. over write everything in your profile, re generate the galleries, and see if this works better for you. Please get back to me and let me know.

dear msg please click on the IE browser so it opens outside of DS. then select tools >> internet options and then modify either the "security" (custom leve) and "advanced" settings tabs. please make sure no warning messages are allowed to pop up. DS blocks them for smooth auto procedure without pause and error.
fyi i have vncd to clients computer and have solved this issue
